Anonymous asked: "I Just finished Reding isla and the happily ever after... Can your recommend a really good romance novel of the sort?"

Hi there!

  • First of all - Rainbow Rowell aka the queen. Check her out if you haven’t read her books yet. It’s not 100% romance, but it’s great.
  • Second of all - Jenny Han. My personal favourite is To all the boys I’ve loved before, but her The Summer Trilogy is said to be good, too.
  • Colleen Hoover books. I haven’t read any of it BUT I heard they’re super awesome and romance is just ahhhh
  • The Selection Trilogy by Kiera Cass - it’s not strictly romance, it’s dystopian, but THE FEELS girl. You’re going to have a new OTP.
  • You should also check out The Host by Stephanie Meyer, which is also not a strictly romance novel, but God, the relationshipsin this book? To die for.

And now useful links:

here you have a list of ya/new adult contemporaries

Christine’s video about contemporary books - it’s a good one

Ariel’s video about contemporary - believe me, she knows everything about contemporary.

scratchedcameraa asked: "Hii! Have you read The School for Good and Evil? The story looks really interesting to me and something I would like but it has some bad reviews on Goodreads that are keeping me from getting Would you recommend it?"

Hi, I did read it! I’d say it’s complicated. It is not what you expect it to be. I went into this book with high expectations and was I let down? A bit. But I was surprised by some of the topics in it. The characters were very well written and it was soooo cute sometimes. You should also remember that it’s a middle grade book, and it can be a bit childish.

I’m not sure what to say. I won’t stand by it with my whole heart, but it was worth a read. I really want to reread it soon.

Does any of my lovely little friends want to add something?

Is “what do you want?” too rude response to “hi”?

he asked if I have a text we need to read for class

maybe it’s just an excuse to talk to you

Nah, not him. He’s kinda a player, talks to every girl possible. We were in a bar once with some people and we were playing billiards (is that how you say it in English?) and he was like “hey I will show you how to do it” and I was like “I KNOW WHAT IM DOING OKAY” (I didn’t) and he kinda never talked to me again and he actually avoids me. This is, children, my charm in real life.
